This Service Agreement outlines what clients can expect when working with Tamara’s Notary Services, and what is required to ensure a smooth, compliant notarization process. By scheduling an appointment or receiving services, you agree to the terms below.

1. Purpose of This Agreement

This agreement ensures that all notarial services are performed legally, ethically, and efficiently. It protects both the client and the notary by establishing clear expectations before, during, and after the appointment.

  • Use secure, approved platforms for e‑Notary and RON services

I do not provide legal advice, draft documents, or interpret document content.

3. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a successful appointment, clients agree to:

Provide Valid Identification

A government‑issued photo ID is required for all notarizations.

Have Documents Ready

Documents must be complete, with no blank spaces, before the appointment begins.

Ensure Signer Readiness

All signers must be:

  • Present
  • Willing
  • Aware
  • Able to understand the document

Provide Witnesses (If Required)

If your document requires witnesses, you must provide them unless they are arranged in advance.

Be On Time

Delays may result in additional fees or rescheduling.

4. Appointment Policies

Mobile Appointments

Travel fees apply based on distance. If the notary arrives and the appointment cannot be completed due to client issues (missing ID, incomplete documents, unwilling signer), travel fees remain non‑refundable.

Electronic & RON Appointments

Clients must ensure:

  • A stable internet connection
  • A working camera and microphone
  • A quiet, private environment
  • Ability to complete identity verification

If the session fails due to client technical issues, the appointment may be rescheduled.

5. Fees & Payment

All fees are disclosed before the appointment. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.

Accepted payment methods include: Debit/Credit, and Stripe/Square (if enabled).

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Clients may cancel or reschedule with reasonable notice. Fees may apply if:

  • The notary has already traveled
  • The appointment is missed
  • The cancellation is last‑minute

7. Right to Refuse Service

Service may be declined if:

  • Proper ID is not provided
  • The signer appears coerced or confused
  • Documents are incomplete
  • The request violates Pennsylvania law
  • There is a conflict of interest

8. Confidentiality & Data Protection

All documents and personal information are handled with strict confidentiality. RON recordings and electronic journals are stored securely as required by Pennsylvania law.

9. No Legal Advice

The notary is not an attorney and cannot:

  • Explain legal terms
  • Recommend legal actions
  • Draft or edit documents

Clients should consult an attorney for legal questions.
